DuetMe started with a simple, frustrating problem: script rehearsing when there’s no one there to read with you, and self-taping with no one to play the scene against.
This app was created by an actor who knows the struggle first-hand — the late nights trying to memorise lines, the scenes that never quite click because there’s no partner to play off, and the lonely ritual of self-taping by propping up a phone with no one reading the other lines. Script rehearsing with AI and self-taping at home shouldn’t be a solo, second-rate experience — and that’s why DuetMe has been built.
Truly owning your lines — landing them with conviction and intention when the camera is rolling or you’re standing on stage full of emotion — is hard. It comes more easily to some than to others, but for almost every actor it takes real work. You need to hear the other character.
